Happy Sunday! Today, we have lost an hour of sleep, but the good news is that we get another hour of daylight! This week, let's talk about skin tones. Many people struggle with what color to wear with their skin tones, if that's you, this will help you to make your skin tone no longer a problem!
There are two general types of skin tones: warm and cool. In it, there are 4 main categories: fair/pale skin, tan with a yellow/gold/peach undertone, olive/medium skin, and dark skin. I will also talk a little bit about how to match your eye color as well.

- Warm Tones- this skin type has a deeper, richer undertone, typically golds and yellows
1. Black can become your bestie.
2. Earth tones such as browns, reds, and oranges will complement your rich skin tone
3. Avoid anything that's bright, such as neon colors
4. Think of Autumn
- Cool Tones- this skin type is either pale or dark with a blue or pink undertone
1. Bright colors will bring out your undertone and show off your skin
2. Don't be afraid to go bold with solid primaries and pastels
- Fair/Pale Skin- Your have a risk of looking like a ghost, but a few simple tips will make that worry of yours disappear
1. Stick to dark colors that contrast your skin is the most important
2. Navy, blues, emerald greens, dark primary colors
3. If you decide to wear black, make sure to wear something bright, such as red, to bring out
your rosy undertone
4. If you want a more subtle style, go with a wardrobe that has an icy undertone
- Tan With a Yellow/Gold/Peach Undertone- You have a nice, rich, warm skin tone, though sometimes
with wrong colors can have a risk of looking like the Simpsons family
1. Try to avoid the color yellow for it brings out your unnecessary yellow undertone
2. Though yellow garments won't enhance your look, gold jewelry, however, can make your rich/warm skin tone look amazing
3. Earth tones like tan, cream, and olive green can best complement your tan skin
- Olive/Medium Skin- You have a great tan skin with a green undertone. Pretty much any color will look good on you, with a couple of exceptions
1. Try to avoid light green garments
2. Avoid settling with the middle colors as well, go with either dark or light, or a great mixture of both to create a nice contrast
3. Beige, cream, light blue are great for a brighter feel; black and grey for a darker feel
4. Cream suits you better than pure white, for pure white might look a little harsh against your skin
5. Earthy colors like brown and sand can bring out the nice olive tone of your complexion
1. Don't go too dark or too light. In other words, don't go all white or all black
2. Keep it bright and fresh with bold colors
3. Try to avoid dull colors for it doesn't complement your skin tone as much
4. Pastel colors will show off your undertone Dark skin- You, are truly the most lucky one. All colors will suit your skin tone, but I can still give you a few tips to make it even better for you
- Blue Eyes- Your eye color is certainly something to be proud of, so show it off with the color of your clothes!
1. It's simple, if you have blue eyes, wear blue
2. A similar shade can bring out the color
3. A slightly darker shade of teal or navy can emphasize the brightness
4. The complimentary color orange can also bring out your blue eyes, but keep in mind your skin type as well

1. Wear deep, warm colors if yours appear reddish to highlight them
2. If yours have a green tone, wear emerald green or a plum/purple color to really bring out the green pigment Brown Eyes- Brown eyes generally have two categories: the ones with a red tone, and the ones with
- Hazel/Green Eyes- Your eye color is also rare. Especially hazel colored eyes, for it is a mix of brown, blue, and green; it can appear to be more brown than green, or most often, more green than brown.
1. Like brown with a green undertone, wear plum/purple colors to highlight the green of your eyes
2. Green clothes will also work, but be very aware of your skin tone, for green can be hard to look flattering in for many people
