Hello, everyone! I'm back after two weeks! I hope all of you have had a wonderful Easter. This week, let's talk about accessories. Everyone loves accessories, but how to wear them is important. Don't make your accessories a distraction, but the "cherry on top"!
- Necklaces
- If you have a necklace that you wear everyday, make sure it is plain and simple
- Wear a long necklace if you have a simple shirt on that is dressy casual
- Multiple necklaces can be matched together to wear
- Match the right necklace with the right neckline!
- Elegant diamond necklaces are usually for formal occasions
- Don't be afraid to go bold with colored necklaces, as long as it matches your outfit
- Remember, sometimes it is NOT necessary to wear a necklace
- Earrings
- Simple diamond studs are always the safe to go ear pieces
- If you have multiple ear piercings, make sure to match them elegantly
- When wearing long, fancy earrings, make sure you don't have a necklace on
- Try a pair of cuffed earrings. It gives you the simple and elegant cartilage piercing look without having to pierce them!
- Personally, I would have to say "NO" to gauges
- Remember, earrings are still part of your outfit, so match them!
- Bracelets
- Cuff bracelets are an excellent choice if you want to wear a statement piece
- Stacked bangles are stylish, but do NOT wear them on both wrists
- A beautiful watch is a type of bracelet too!
- Do not let your bracelet clash with your other jewelry
- Remember, if your outfit is busy, make the bracelet as simple as possible
- Rings
- A beautiful bold ring can create your outfit
- Just because you're used to wearing a ring everyday (weather it's your wedding ring or a ring with a significant meaning), doesn't mean it is invisible! So make sure it does NOT clash with the ring you're going to wear for the day
- Balance your rings if you are going to wear more than one on both hands
- Remember, the ring will draw attention to your nails, so make sure they are not chipped, and the colors don't clash
- Anklets
- Keep the anklet simple, so it doesn't draw attention away from your outfit
- A thin, elegant anklet will make your ankle appear smaller and more feminine
- Do NOT wear anklets on both ankles
- Anklets should not be worn with tennis shoes
- Remember, do NOT wear any foot jewelry with nylons or tights!!
- NEVER wear gold and silver together
- Less is more!
- Wear pieces that create an outfit
- Keep it simple, It is suppose to be the "cherry on top" General Rule
That concludes this week's topic. I hope you enjoyed it! Don't forget to check out this week's Outfit of the Week. I will see you all next Sunday. "Stay Classy!"
