I have exciting news, my awesome visitors. As I was working on this week's topic, my friends told me I should come up with a clever name for my followers. So, since my name is Sierra, how about Sierra-mist? You guys can be my amazing Sierra-mists! Anyways, back to our fashion topic. Many of you are probably working folks, and most of the time you need to dress professionally. This week, I want to give you guys a little tip on how to dress for some professional occasions.
- Interviews
Men- A suit jacket doesn't give you the excuse to wear a T-shirt underneath. Have on a nice dress shirt and dress pants. Maybe even a sweater over top, or a tie, to boost your professional look and self-confidence. That is the key to leaving a great first impression!
Women- A blouse and blazer with the traditional pencil skirt is the way to go. But you can also wear a professional looking dress, too. If you're to wear a daring color, make sure the design is overall conservative. And it's a good idea to avoid short hemlines and skin-tight fits altogether, after all, it is an interview, you want to look professional.
- Business
Men- You want to look professional, but not up=tight. The clients want to see a honest and sincere look. Still go with the suit, but pick out the less formal ones and you'll be ready to go!
Women- Same concept goes for you as well. The sincere look is the target, but as a woman, you can add a little bit of your own style to the outfit, to express your sense of fashion and that
you took your time to make sure you're presenting your best to your clients.
- Professional Meetings
Men- This is where the formal suit comes in. The formal suit with the formal tie, and a subtle plain dress shirt will give you the impressive business man look. And therefore, demands instant respect.
Women- This isn't the place to express too much of your own fashion sense. This is the occasion you will need to dress as professional and all-business as you could. It shows respect and sincere concern.
- Business-casual
Men- Wear a pair of khaki pants or dark nice-looking jeans, with a casual button-up shirt. Leave off the suit jacket and tie to create a casual look. Try a sweater over top for a warm look.
Women- A casual top with a cute blazer definitely shows character and style. A cashmere sweater dress if you're a dress-person. Have some fun, style your own unique look! Express your personality.
That concludes this week's topic. I hope this can help you with your professional fashion.
